One can reach this lake at the southern edge of 100 Mile House, by turning east off Highway 97 onto the Horse Lake Road. A paved road runs northeast to Sulphurous Lake. Total distance from 100 Mile House is about 48 kilometres (30 miles). The lake is about eight kilometres (five miles) long and 1.6 kilometres (one mile) across. It has several shoals and an island. Campsites, cabins and boats rentals are available. There is no ramp for larger boats, but car-toppers can be launched. Sulphurous Lake is stocked with rainbow trout, char, and lake trout.
