The Canim Lake area lies 46 km northeast of 100 Mile House and includes the communities of Forest Grove, Canim Lake, Eagle Creek, Buffalo Creek, and Mahood Falls. This area has numerous lakeside resorts that cater to sports fishers and other recreational users. There is also a 1 km long trail from Canim Lake, the Waterfall Trail, that takes you to two spectaular falls; Mahood Falls and Canim Falls. Canim Lake is one of the largest lakes in the Cariboo and is surrounded by expansive meadows, mountins, rolling hills and spectacular forests.
