 The South Cariboo Region... is located on BC's central plateau, approximately 1/ 2 way between Vancouver and Prince George. The spectacular scenery includes rugged Cariboo mountains, rolling forested hills & beautiful ranch land as well as the Hwy 24 'fishing highway' with access to hundreds of clean, clear lakes. At an elevation of over 3000 feet, the area experiences all 4 seasons. The annual precipitation, combined of rain and snow, is about 25 inches. The population of the 100 Mile area is approximately 17,000 and the main industries are logging, ranching and tourism. Recreational activities include 2 golf courses, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, horseback riding and watersports, just to name a few. The 100 Mile area has something to offer everyone.
